What is your process?

On-site initial design consultation. Then we provide you with a schedule of suggested steps and you can move as fast or as slow as you like.

How long will it take?

This depends on what you want, essentially each reno can take between 2–3 months for designing and 6–10 months for construction. If you are working within a specific timeframe we can work with you to achieve this and reduce instances that can, potentially, increase timeframes.

Usually, within 7 days we can be on-site to meet with you.

Do you have your own trades?

Yes, MJD Projects has a group of our own recommended and excellent trades that provide a high-quality finish. Because we have been working with our trades for a long time, they work around our schedule to ensure that your project is not delayed and their work is guaranteed.

Will I have to move out when the construction commences?

Usually, yes you will. There are many hazards on a construction site and we prioritise the safety of all people involved during a renovation.

What types of costs are involved with designing and building?

We do recommend that you have an approximate budget for your project. The cost for drafted plans to build an addition on your home starts at $5850+GST which covers a high level of detail and revisions. Once your plans are done, you will need a few other certificates, such as engineering, for your project and then it can be quoted. We can work with you and provide alternatives for your project in order to achieve your desired budget.
